Powers and Abilities:
Apocalypse is one of the oldest and most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe, known for his ability to manipulate matter at a molecular level, vast telepathy, and superhuman strength.
He can enhance himself with technology and has near-immortality due to his regenerative capabilities. His power level can vary significantly based on how much he has “upgraded” himself.
Thanos, on the other hand, is a Titan with immense physical strength, durability, and intelligence. With the Infinity Gauntlet, he becomes nearly omnipotent, controlling reality, time, space, mind, soul, and power. Without the Gauntlet, he’s still a formidable opponent with his combat skills and strategic mind.
Scenarios:
With Infinity Gauntlet: If Thanos has all the Infinity Stones, he would likely have an overwhelming advantage. Reality-altering powers could either turn Apocalypse into something harmless or simply erase him from existence.
Without Infinity Gauntlet: This scenario makes it more competitive. Apocalypse’s molecular manipulation might counter some of Thanos’s attacks, but Thanos’s sheer physical power and combat experience could still pose a significant threat.
Apocalypse’s telepathy might give him an edge by controlling or influencing Thanos’s mind, though Thanos has shown resistance to mental manipulation in various stories.
Preparation and Strategy: Apocalypse is known for his cunning and strategic planning, often manipulating events long before they unfold. Thanos, while strategic, often relies on brute force or his quest for the Stones. If Apocalypse had time to prepare, he might outmaneuver Thanos, potentially using the environment or technology to his advantage.
Outcome:
Without the Stones, it could go either way, being largely dependent on the setting, their knowledge of each other’s capabilities, and whether Apocalypse has had time to prepare or upgrade himself. Thanos’s physical dominance might be countered by Apocalypse’s versatility and regeneration.
With the Stones, Thanos would likely win unless there’s an extraordinary plot twist or if Apocalypse has some countermeasure for the Infinity Gauntlet’s powers, which seems unlikely given the nature of the Stones.
